Boss Babes of Beauty Savant: Evelyn

I wear four inch heels, a full face of makeup and pencil skirts daily…or at least until about 6pm. Then I am barefoot, in workout clothes and the sweatier the better.

Growing up in a family full of martial artists, I started Tae Kwon Do as a child. My teenage years had me graduate to kickboxing because huge boobs + a gi = tough…really tough. As an adult, I may love it even more than I did as a child. Not just for the incredible workout, confidence boost and stress release but for the unique level of respect and camaraderie between female athletes, amateur and professional alike. These women will throw each other down and brag about the bruises and high five each other after an accidental face kick. It is unlike the support I have seen in any other area of sport or fitness.

When my new home gym, Combat Club, opened up, I knew a lot of the men and the very few women who trained there from my prior gym. While it is rad training with so many different partners, when a badass chick walks in with boot black winged eyeliner, a killer left hook and a smile, you get excited. Who was she? Where had she been all my training partner seeking life? That was the first day I trained with Evelyn G. Romo, the Hip Hop and Sports Writer, Radio Producer and beauty loving vixen who also happens to be a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has been boxing for over a decade. Also known as my kind of girl.

I knew I wanted to feature Evelyn in Boss Babes of Beauty Savant because this girl is A-M-B-I-T-I-O-U-S. Her plate seems to never be too full and she supports up and coming musicians and fighters and truly loves what she does. Here she puts her own spin on our typical Boss Babes Beauty questions:

Tell me a little about YOU!Ā

IĀ was born in Mexico and raised in South Florida, ever since I was a young girl IĀ had a passion for music and knew IĀ wanted to be apart of the culture one day. Throughout myĀ school years, I discovered a passion for writing and literature.

While attending Palm Beach State College, I discovered a desire to work in Radio and TV. I thenĀ began an internship with Alpha Media Company and eventually started working as a producer/writer/reporter with multiple stations including; NewsTalk 850, Fox Sports 640, Beatz 963, X1023, 979 WRMF, and Sunny 979.

While working in radio IĀ did not shy away from the camera, andĀ started my own YouTube channel ā€œERTVā€ and began posting inspirational videos, album and mixtape reviews, lifestyle vlogs, and eventually started interviewing Hip Hop artists.

Not only does IĀ have a love for music, I haveĀ also been involved in combat sports. IĀ started boxing when I was 12 years old and am a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Ā I have worked forĀ the World Fighting Organization, and so decided to expand my site and combine music and combat sports. IĀ began interviewing fighters to give fans an insight of their training life and of course their music taste when they are training.

I am 100% dedicated to bringing you updates and my own opinions on the hottest Hip Hop music in the culture, from underground to mainstream. I also hope to give you an insight on the fight sport world.
